Julie Ann Heath lives and works near the ruins of a castle and a beautiful church in Leicestershire. Her surroundings and the people she meets are her inspiration. She is a romantic, believing love is at the centre of life. Through her writing and art Julie Ann’s imagination takes flight exploring the unexpected, the invisible and the spiritual.



Biography – Julie Ann

Born: 1962, Leicestershire.

Left school at 16 and went to work

Career: Made Product Director of large retailer at the age of 30. Ran own boutique in Nottingham.

Ministry: Ordained as priest in the Church of England at the age of 44

Education: Studied theology at The University of Nottingham. Graduated at age 46

Projects & Commissions

‘ The Garden’ a play by Julie Ann, inspired by her book ‘The Angel at the Bottom of the Garden’. Selah Theatre Company toured with the play in July 2013.

Current Project:

‘The Garden’ film – Julie Ann has now written a screenplay, and with the help of a number of friends a 50 minute film has been produced. Julie Ann hopes to develop the film, along with the book into a resource to be a guide for reflection and contemplation.
